FIGHT FOR THE DREAM
FIGHT FOR THE DREAM
Dreams on their own don’t come to fruition, until the dreamer is ready to stay in the dreamers ring and unwilling to give up the fight. In the personal pursuit of my dreams, I have had reasons to give up and like the youths will say ‘lock up’. But I have decided to keep at it and be willing to confront whatever stops me from being a champion. When Benjamin Disraeli attempted to speak in the Parliament for the first time they booed him into silence , but he said ‘Though I sit down now , the time will come when you will all hear me’.And they did.He became one of Britain’s best orators and Prime ministers. He fought for his dream.
Forget the illusion that your dreams will be achieved on a platter of gold. You, ve got to be willing to throw in more punches till you emerge a victor. Perhaps, others have dragged you down in life. They ve discouraged you from dreaming. May be they resented the fact that you wanted to move up or do something significant with your life. Take heart, its never too late to start dreaming and adding creams (actions) to your dreams. Dale Turner assserts’Dreams are renewable. No matter what our age or condition , there are still untapped possibilities within us and new beauty waiting to be born’. Yes! There will be times when you will feel like your life has come to a screeching halt, and you are going nowhere. It is then you need to stay in the fight and get the winner’s crown.
Tyler Perry’s currently the richest entertainer in the world as confirmed by Forbes magazine, childhood in New Orleans was marked by a pattern of abuse by his father, and the bitterness from the broken relationship became a source of unforgiveness as Perry grew older, eventually moving to Atlanta. It was only after channeling his struggles through writing, that he found a deeper calling.
After praying for God to help him to forgive his father, whom he later reconciled with, Perry turned his turbulent story of forgiveness and redemption into the stage play I Know I’ve Been Changed. But after several unsuccessful shows, the 28-year-old playwright was broke and even lived on the streets on Atlanta when he couldn’t make ends meet. But even in the difficult times, Perry never doubted his calling. He fought for his dream.
Eventually, I Know I’ve Been Changed became a sleeper hit that offered audiences a refreshing glimpse into the hard, and often times funny things, that God can deliver you from. The play launched Perry into the status of a hot up-and-coming writer.
The success led him to adapt Bishop. T.D. Jakes’ bestselling book Woman Thou Art Loosed into a stage production—a project that exploded into a blockbuster hit. The buzz garnered from the play gave way to several feature films, which Perry writes, directs and acts in, often portraying a variety characters, including the good-natured (but often over-the-top) grandmother Medea.
Hold on to that dream of your yours, be willing to pay the price and in order to be inducted into the champion’s hall of fame.I will read your success story.
