CELEBRITY BLOGGER, LINDA IKEJI BECOMES PERSON OF THE YEAR 2011
She inspires me as a result of her consistency and drive...This is a deserved recognition LINDA.Here her:
This is like the best thing anyone's ever written about me. I've never screamed after reading a story about me, until now. This is so humbling. Thanks to the guys at 1976AD.com
Here's what they wrote about me...
When Linda Ikeji began her self-titled blog back in 2006 a lot of people derided her efforts, saying it was merely a flash in the pan, bound to lead nowhere, with some even going as far as stating she ought to stick to her modeling career. Of particular note was a story done in National Encomium by popular gossip hag, Stella Dimoko Korkus, in which she all but dismissed any chance of Linda’s newest venture having any success.
5 years down the line not only has Linda proven her critics wrong, but her blog has emerged as what is unarguably the most popular, visible and commercially viable entertainment property in Nigeria’s corner of the Internet.
Whether it was something as serious as the Abia gang rape story which she brought to the attention of not only the government and people of Nigeria, but also international media, including BBC, CNN and Al-Jazeera among others, something as irreverent as the sham marriage between Mercy Johnson and her Prince of dubious mien, or something as deeply personal as her various pronouncements on her sex life (or lack thereof), Nigerians and friends of Nigeria could trust her blog to raise awareness and shape public perception of the subject at hand in a major way.
In our case for example, we can’t even begin to count the number of times we’ve run across the office proclaiming ’did you see what she just posted’, and we know we are not alone in this regard. Nor can we begin to count the number of times we’ve seen and continue to see stories that she brought to light become the fodder for discussion across various internet fora, with debates raging for days on end.
Ultimately, for being a private citizen who has used the power of the keyboard to best shape Nigeria’s polity in 2011, 1976AD proudly declares Linda Ikeji the 2011 person of the year.

Yaaaay! Thank you so much guys! Glad people appreciate what I am doing with my blog. I really enjoy blogging and I plan to stay around for many years to come. Thanks to all LIB readers, fans and foes. People I made laugh, people I made cry, people I offended, people whose lives I've touched in the smallest way. I love you all. Thanks for being a part of my life. Kisses.
*That's my speech BTW* lol.
Keep the flag flying Linda , it can only get better.
LESSONS FROM A MOTIVATIONAL SUPERSTAR
Zig Ziglar's Lessons From The Top
True Success in a Balanced Life
From Zig Ziglar’s perspective, success is only real when it encompasses every area of life. Physical, mental, spiritual, relationships and, oh yes, career and finances. True success requires balance, an ingredient missing in many people’s busy lives. And while we may acquire the trappings of success—a nice car, a beautiful home, designer clothes— the truth is they may only be traps if the pursuit of obtaining them leads to greater imbalance and skewed priorities.
For the past 30-plus years, Ziglar has helped people create true success. He is recognized as a speaker, salesman, trainer, bestselling author and arguably one on the greatest motivators alive today.
Although Ziglar is committed to encouraging people to become their best, gentle words of support were not what sparked his legendary career. Following high school, Ziglar served in the Navy during World War II and later attended the University of South Carolina. His life took a turn when he left school to pursue a sales career, hoping to earn a better living for his family. For two years, Ziglar struggled for fi nancial survival until one day he received a verbal slap in the face that awakened him to his potential.
P.C. Merrell, president of at the company for which Ziglar sold cookware, pulled him aside following a sales meeting. “Mr. Merrell told me he’d never seen such a waste of time and effort,” Ziglar remembers. “Well, that was kind of a shock. But I asked, ‘What do you mean?’ He said, ‘I believe you can be a great one in this business if you would just believe in yourself, work on learning more, doing better and helping other people.’ ” Merrell’s words of advice were a turning point in Ziglar’s career. And by putting those words and the training he’d received into action, within a year, Ziglar went from scraping by to becoming No. 2 in a company of more than 7,000 salespeople. He later reached the No. 1 position in another company of more than 3,000.
As his success grew, so did his opportunities for training others. He was repeatedly asked to share his expertise with other sales groups, and in the years that followed he established himself as a sought-after speaker and trainer. In 1970, Ziglar launched a full-time speaking career. Today, Ziglar has authored more than 25 books, many of them translated into more than three dozen languages. His Dallas-based multimillion-dollar Ziglar Corp. offers a variety of personal-development and corporate training materials, and has expanded its capabilities with certified instructors—Ziglar-trained experts who are students and teachers of his principles. Through all this success, Ziglar’s career continues to echo the tenets he learned from Merrell: Believe in yourself, dedicate yourself to continual learning and help others. And out of that belief system come Ziglar’s most cherished philosophies: “You can have everything in life you want if you will just help enough other people get what they
Believe in Yourself
Merrell didn’t wave a magic wand over Ziglar that fateful day, but until that point, Ziglar viewed himself as a little guy from a little town. Merrell saw him as a potential champion. Merrell’s words were the key that allowed Ziglar to unlock the potential within. The key was belief.
From that point on, Ziglar became a student of self-improvement. Many times, “good books and good people” were the key to unlocking new levels of potential. Early in his career, The Power of Positive Thinking by Norman Vincent Peale was one of those keys. In his famous book, See You at the Top, Ziglar cites the difference Peale’s book made in his career:
“There was a time when I became a ‘wandering generality’ with more than my share of ups and downs. During one of my ‘downs,’ I picked up Dr. Norman Vincent Peale’s The Power of Positive Thinking, and my career, which was in trouble again, surged forward. Dr. Peale helped me identify the real source of my problems. Needless to say, it was me.”
Ziglar learned that he was the only thing standing between himself and his success. The way he saw himself, the way he saw others and what he believed about himself and others could either propel his success or inhibit it.
Ziglar has witnessed countless lives changed as the result of the discovery of self-worth. He knows from firsthand experience that when your self-image improves, your performance also improves. He’s spent a lifetime encouraging others to believe that they have—or can acquire—what it takes to achieve their goals.
Encourage Others
Ziglar is known by millions as an encourager. No doubt the cadence and Southern lilt to his speech and his genuine smile put people at ease, but it’s his words that inspire people to make significant changes in their lives. Through his teaching, business leaders and parents alike have learned the truth behind the cliché that you catch more flies with honey than vinegar. In fact they experience that law in their own lives when they take and apply any one of Ziglar’s gems of wisdom.
But encouragement isn’t about fl owery words. It’s about helping others imagine what they can become and then equipping them with the confidence, education or resources to achieve their goals. Encouragement also challenges people to see themselves or their circumstances from someone else’s perspective. “After all these years, I can’t talk to someone, especially if they ask a question, that I don’t put some encouragement in it,” he says. “So many times people have responded so well. When you encourage others, you in the process are encouraged because you’re making a commitment and difference in that person’s life. Encouragement really does make a difference.”
Ziglar believes that’s the essence of his mantra: You can have everything you want in life if you will just help enough other people get what they want. “It emphasizes what you can do for others, not what they can do for you. I’m convinced that’s always a wise approach to life,” he says. “Help other people do the right thing, tutor them if it’s possible and practical, but always encourage them. Encouragement is the fuel on which hope thrives.”
Be a Learner
The saying is that in preparation for a class the teacher learns as much—or more—than the students. That certainly seems to be the case in Ziglar’s career. When Merrell admonished him to learn more, to do better and to help others, Ziglar went back to the basics of his sales career. The instruction he’d received in the fi rst two years served as a foundation for the new, more successful skills and habits he worked to develop. Along the way, he discovered great personal satisfaction in sharing what he’d learned and in encouraging others to become better, too.
Though he’s built a wildly successful career, for Ziglar, class is still in session. “I’m a constant student,” he says. “I think that’s one of the reasons I’ve been able to survive in this world successfully.” While the word survive is an understatement, his admonition to constantly be sharpening the mind is a consistent theme in his personal-development materials. Knowledge, experience and wisdom yield powerful results.
“You need to be a constant student because things change and you have to change and grow. And I emphasize the word grow,” he says. “If you keep learning new things, the new information—so many times—strengthens what you already know. When you’ve got that strength and conviction because of what you’re learning and doing, you have a better chance for success in all areas of life.”
At 81, Ziglar continues to be a learner and an avid reader. “I read the paper every day and the Bible every day; that way I know what both sides are up to,” he says. Though he’s always reading a book—or two—he’s selective in his choice of material. “I don’t read junk,” he says. More often than not, he chooses material pertaining to personal development, leadership or business and sales success—not because he’s trying to fi gure out his own path to success, but because being a learner has helped him become a more effective trainer and encourager. “When I read I’m looking for material that can impact my life and impact others’ lives,” he says. “I want information that I can not only learn from, but also teach.”
A Living Legacy
Ziglar will forever be a teacher, but in 2007, he made the choice to entrust his company to his son Tom Ziglar and son-in-law Richard K. Oats. The Dallas Business Journal reported that Ziglar would retain the title of chairman, and Tom Ziglar and Oats would officially take on the role of leading day-to-day operations.
From Ziglar’s perspective, the transition places the company in good hands. Tom and Richard “love what we do and believe very strongly in it,” Ziglar says in the article. “They know the purpose of the company and what the mission statement is: To make a profound difference in people’s professional and personal lives…. I get to focus on what I do best.”
And true to his word, Ziglar has continued to focus on teaching and motivating audiences and writing new books. His most recent, God’s Way Is Still the Best Way, was released in October 2007. In it, Ziglar shares truths he’s found in his own life as well as in other successful leaders’ lives. From his first book to his most recent, and with countless CDs and DVDs, Ziglar’s message—his legacy of wisdom—continues to encourage people around the world to believe in themselves, learn more and expand the circle by helping others.

10 CELEBRITY GOOFS TO AVOID -JOY BEWAJI
Fact: people know more about RMD than they do GEJ. We care about the contents of Genevieve Nnaji’s cupboard (snooping for skeletons) than we do about political/economic actions and decisions of President Jonathan as it affects our lives.
It’s simple: celebrities are the road map to Utopia. They serve as our escape from the tough grind of life. And like a real annoying hard-on the release is found in the pages of magazines that dish out ‘blow-by-blow’ reports, dirt, news and pictures of celebrity-dom.
Celebs have our undivided jealous attention. We thrust on them the weight of role-models for hitting the right chord in our music vein or saying our favourite lines in a low-budget movie even when they’d rather be left alone to fart all over the red-carpet.
For these flippant reasons celebrities can’t afford to live ‘normal’ lives. They’ve got the staff of perfection extended to them and they have the huge responsibility of carrying it everywhere they go!
So being a celeb should mean that: you cannot jump on an okada, and you have no right to wish for mama ibeji’s moimoi across the road (woe betide you if you’d dare join the queue to get some wraps by yourself!).
Flimsy as these may seem, there are, however, top celebrity goofs that are just not acceptable, even if your career is taking a nose-dive and we don’t care about your status anymore.
Here’s a list of ten:
1. Do not be silly on the red carpet: That stream of red flowing endlessly with paparazzi, cameras, and fans, is judgement aisle. A Celebrity’s fame is confirmed and endorsed on the red carpet. So we expect them to take their appearances very seriously. Lady gaga gets away with it because she’s, well…lady gaga! You goof when you decide to ‘be yourself’ on the red carpet. Learn the etiquettes of red carpet divas and divos. Besides, I think dressing like a trash can is a sign of insecurity. Why would anyone hate to be pretty? Beats me!
2. Do not mock/diss your fans: It is better to bite your tongue than insult your fans! I mean, that’s just silly! Yes, we know how obsessive fans can get, and some are just outright rude! Nonetheless, they are your stamp of stardom. You goof when you cannot handle the everyday paranoia that comes with your status. ‘What’s a star without a fan base?’
Jesus had Judas, you’ve got a couple of nut-heads on your case, so what? Deal with it with a sense of maturity.
3) Kill the temptation to respond to every attack in the media: Celebs still do not understand how the media works. As a matter of fact the professions are quite similar. A journalist, just like a musician, is looking for that big hit – that one story, or in the case of an artiste, one track that is going to get him a jet-ride to fame – even if he has to write a nasty bit, or sing a diss track. So you goof when you take the press too seriously (especially soft-sell). Save yourself the headache. That crazy reaction you exhibit whenever you read a story about how broke you are now or how irrelevant your music is or how promiscuous you have become is just the bait we need. When you give yourself the task of responding to every report in the papers, it distorts your brand. Learn to look the other way.
4) Stop the autotune: For the simple reason that it is annoying! You goof when you do not take out time to nurture a real talent out of your cosmetic success.
5) Share your personal life sparingly: Whether you have your wedding on a parachute (lol!) or got engaged on the moon, be modest about your achievements. If you are sporting the most expensive Versace heels and for some reason the press do not go crazy about this and get pictures of it in all the colour pages, do not be tempted to give the info out in that ‘hey, can’t you see I’m the best shit ever’ tone. You goof when your chatter of self-accomplishment can fill up the pages of City People. That kind of attitude usually comes back to jab you in the ass.
6) Do not look in the mirror someday and say, ‘I have arrived’: You have not ‘arrived’. You goof when you think you are more famous than Christ. You are work in progress; always will be. You die, figuratively, when you do.
7) Get a publicist: What’s the point blinking in the dark, eh? You goof when you do all your publicity stunt, begging on social networks to get votes for an award or literally sobbing and sweating to get hits online for your new track. Do the honourable thing – pay for publicity.
8.) Do not insult your colleagues: You know the sight of a baby throwing tantrum? It’s a better sight than a celebrity exhibiting stupidity; and one of the stupid situations a celeb can find him/herself is getting into squabbles with a colleague. You goof when you trade words in public. Celebrities live in glass houses, do not throw stones at one another!
9)Avoid being stereotyped: It is your job to make sure that you are not locked in a box. If you feel the need to do other things as a celeb away from your primary achievement, go ahead and do what the heck you want to do. It’s your job to diversify and live your dreams, it’s our job to criticise and laugh off your attempts. Nonetheless, do all the stuff you’ve always wanted to do. You goof when you let someone else, who’s probably dying to be you, tell you what to do. You are on a platform – give your best performance! Don’t let our bad-mouths stop you.
10) Invest: If you don’t then you are a flash in the pan. Money sustains stardom. Talent can only go this far but money gives it wings to fly. You goof when you spend all your worth on women, booze, and parties. Now that you’ve got all the high-flying gigs falling all over you, it’s the time to invest in sustainable businesses so your money can turn to wealth.

QUOTABLES FROM THE NOTABLES
MAXIMIZING YOUR COMFORT ZONE
MAXIMIZING YOUR COMFORT ZONE 1
So many individuals have a preconceived notion about comfort zones. We have been told by management consultants, motivational speakers, life coaches that we should leave our comfort zone. We are told stuffs like:. "Good is the enemy of great." Some of them go further by telling us to stretch our potentials so that we can achieve more. Yes , I concur to the fact that its vital to leave your comfort zone, but I am also of the opinion that its imperative to live in your comfort zone.
Comfort zone in this context may be an activity, skill, talent, or something you engage in that makes you comfortable, excited, animated, alive, that gives you verve.Fela durotoye calls it your natural habitat, John Maxwell calls it your strength zone, a sage called it your :’Callingfication’.For a tiger woods its playing golf, for a Gbenga Adeyinka its humor, for a an Asa its music for a Bunmi Davies its event management, for an Ayo Arowolo its personal finance. God never created you without depositing your comfort zone within which you must express without.Birds are comfortable in the sky, cars are comfortable on the road, fishes are comfortable on water not outside of it.
On the flip side, so many are running the race of life outside their comfort zones. They do jobs they are not comfortable with, marry spouses that deplete their energy, and strive towards making a living instead of living their making.Heart attacks happens in America usually in the mornings between 7am and 9am because it is during that time people go to do jobs they are not comfortable doing.A story was once told in the Bible about David when he wanted to confront the giant called Goliath.King Saul clothed David with his armour and helmet, and some other war instruments. He tried in vain to use them , because he wasn, t comfortable with them.So David had to put them off. Then he decided to stick to what he is comfortable with:”Five smooth stones and a sling”.With these he was able to defeat goliath.
The major lesson I learnt from this story is that, in life people will often cloth you with offers you are not comfortable with, they instruct you to leave your comfort zone , instead of encouraging you to live in your comfort zone.Imagine a guy whose comfort zone is playing football, but based on societal expectations, he decided to got through the normal four walls of our education system which is not working.Imagine, if there is a soccer academy that is operated like a university, that allows student who have the flair for playing football to sharpen their talents and also their intellect. How many good footballers would we have produced.Formal education should help in strengthening, developing and empowering the talent that has been discovered.
The other day on TV , I saw an interview where a professor was agitating for salary increment. He said professors earn 4m annually It is appalling that professors earn 4m annually, when the highest paid musicians, actresses, actors, comedians can earn it just in 4 appearances.According to David Gelember, :”Being the biggest frog doesn,t,matter, if you are in the wrong pond”.As a student mathematics held no fascination for me , it wasn,t my comfort zone .Amazingly, on the flip side, i couldn,t resist my love affair with Englsh,I perform at my best both in written or spoken form .Dear friend, never ignore or discountenance your comfort zone, it is your true wealthy place, your own acres of diamond.Decide to make your life a masterpiece by sticking to your comfort zone.Go and rule your world!
I AM ALIVE WITH MY LONGINGS..BY TOCHI EZE
I AM ALIVE WITH MY LONGINGS!!!
by Tochi Eze on Tuesday, 27 December 2011 at 06:18
I am a woman; alive with longings that cannot be denied, with yearnings that cry out to be met, with desires unmatched and passion untamed; heart racing, lips quivering and belly churning, I sit awake with my innermost longings.
I am alive with my longings:
I long for my maker, the music of my soul, my strength, my reward and my ever loyal friend. I long to see His face with reverence, to kiss His feet in worship, to gaze at Him in adoration, to hold His hands in fellowship, to sit on His laps with abandonment, and rub his beard with childlike glee.
I long for His wisdom echoed in His spoken words, I long for His touch that comes with it’s healing streams, I long for His quiet assurance, His gentle nudging, the open rebuke that comes from His deep rooted love, I long to please Him with the dance of my life, and to send ripples of delight in the ocean of His heart.
I am alive with my longings:
I long to know the love of a man, the loyalty of his friendship, the covering of his priesthood, and the assurance of his leadership. I long to hold and to be held, I long for days spent standing by the side of my prince, reigning with him in the sphere of life, supporting the seed of his dreams and giving flesh to the hope of his visions. I long to share nights of unbridled passion, ravished and replete with love and warmth. I long to know the bulge of life growing inside of me, the pangs of pain that comes with collaborating with creation, I long to know the worries of mother, and to age gracefully by the side of my prince.
I am alive with my longings:
I long to span the universe with the factor of my influence, to model virtue and provide mentorship, to leave a legacy inspired and sustained by the divine precepts of Heaven; to be skillful in enterprise and diligent in labor, to churn out constant solutions relevant to governments and economies, to support credible innovations and dreams with the substance of my increase and the investment of my life.
I am alive with my longings:
I long that the reader of this piece, be gifted with all of life’s bliss, I long that you know the reality of a dream that speaks; the confidence of a faith that fights, and the competence of a love that conquers all.
I long that your desires be made manifest in the span of your life time, that your eyes behold the promise, your feet possess the land and your mouth suck the juice of 2012 and all its prospects.
With fervent desire and a cup of garri and groundnut,

VECTOR
In 2011, Vector made tongues wag by nabbing high-profile features from 2Face and 9ice; successfully evolving from being an underground rapper to a near-mainstream act. With scheduled back-to-back releases of free music, we’re hoping Vector will use 2012 to go for the Hip Hop crown.
WANDE COAL
The chubby singer dropped three new singles days before 2011 ended. As he works to present his new album in the New Year he is set to claim pole position as Nigeria’s quintessential pop artiste. The Mo’ Hits artiste will also be definitely involved with D’Banj’s work with Kanye West.
W4
For years W4 was one proverbial hit away from stardom. He finally got his hit ‘Wa gba kontrol’ in 2011. In 2012, there should be no looking back as his hunger for fame and stardom (which have until now eluded him) should push him to come up with bigger hits

ONCE UPON A CHRISTMAS
ONCE UPON A CHRISTMAS
(Making your Christmas magnificent and memorable)
Christmas is the season for kindling the fire of hospitality in the hall, the genial flame of charity in the heart."
~ Washington Irving (1783-1859), American short-story writer and essayist.
Yes! its that time of the year when homes and shops are decked with Christmas trees, beautiful baubles, bright lights and garlands. Its another year of Christmas carols wafting through from every radio, television, ipod,cd player, and everybody in a general yuletide mode. How did your year go?Do not worry about those shattered dreams and unaccomplished goals, the sun will surely shine again. Walking down the pity path, will only strip you bare emotionally, and blind you from unwrapping the gift of the present-LIFE. Yes, the year may have been challenging, but I do have countless things to be grateful for. I have resolved to count my blessings and not discount them. So what does it takes to have a memorable Christmas?:
1. Gratitude: "If a fellow isn't thankful for what he's got, he isn't likely to be thankful for what he's going to get." - Frank A. Clark. Its natural to look back at your goal book and whine at the things you were not able to achieve, but inspite of whatever has happened to you in the course of the year, there is need for you to cultivate the attitude of gratitude, because it could have been worse. What are you thankful for today? The inimitable oprah Winfrey once said:’End each day by listing the things you are grateful for’.
2.Gifts:Having money is a great responsibility because it makes it possible for us to do things for other people.Material possessions will eventually lose their shine, but giving gifts can help others and even save their lives.Hapiness comes from giving not getting. Be a blessing to someone this season. The joy of brightening other lives, bearing each others' burdens, easing other's loads and supplanting empty hearts and lives with generous gifts becomes for us the magic of Christmas." ~ W. C. Jones
3.Generousity:Since life is what you make of it, choose to be generous this season, it will go a long way in adding magnificence and verve to your Christmas. Don’t buy into the myth that everybody else is having a perfect Christmas, seek to be generous , show that you care , give someone a reason to smile. My idea of Christmas, whether old-fashioned or modern, is very simple: loving others. Come to think of it, why do we have to wait for Christmas to do that?" ~ Bob Hope, American film actor and comedian. A candle loses nothing by lighting another candle.
4.Give yourself a treat. He who allows his day to pass by without practicing generosity and enjoying life's pleasures is like a blacksmith's bellows. He breathes, but does not live. Its pertinent to enjoy the gift of life God has given you.Take yourself out, enjoy your life, invest in you, give yourself a memorable treat this season. If you do not do this , nobody would do it for you.Life is too short not to be lived to the fullest.Have a merry Christmas and a fulfilling new year.

THE BUSINESS OF BEING BEAZY...How he went from struggling for promo to becoming a sought after rap sensation
THE BUSINESS OF BEING BEAZY
……Releasing a new song every week for 52 weeks.
When the producers of The First Apprentice –a reality television show about competing with an apprenticeship with Donald Trump began constructing a story, they wanted to know which applicant will have what it takes to stand out in a crowd. As the first season unfolded ,the person with the highest level of education was the first to be fired , and the least educated of the bunch made it to the final five.In this case, art imitated life, and reality TV mirrored some real facts about success. One of the traits that made the least qualified candidate made it to the final five is optimism and drive.Afolabi Durotoye A.K.A Beazy in the music circuit is one young Nigerian who epitomizes these twin qualities of optimism and drive. Knowing pretty well that he did not have the funds required to promote his music adequately, he decided to convert his clay into diamonds. He embarked on a project called: The Beazy Music Monday(B.M.M).He released a new song every week for 52 weeks (1 year) which kicked off in August 2010 and finished in August 2011.This phenomenal project gave him the big break he needed and made him a face to be reckoned with as far as the hip-hop game is concerned. In 2005, he released his first mix tape aptly titled :M.I.L.E-(Make it Look Easy )vol1.This was positively received by all that heard it and most importantly ensured the support of his parents which he has till this day.Throughout his stay in England, he continued working on music, learning to record, mix and master his own music. He moved back to Abuja in 2008, where he quickly immersed himself in the local music scene, working with producers such as V -Perez, TY-Mix, and Sazzy to name a few.
STARTING OUT
In his words:’ I think its safe to say it all started with poetry .I always had a passion for words and making them rhyme intrigued me from an early age. Thinking about it now, rap for me was inevitable.’ Although, his father’s intense love of music ensured that there was always music in the house, Beazy was never particularly crazy about music. in fact he never displayed any interest until he took up poetry in primary school. After secondary school, he went to England for his A-levels and university education in 2003.
UNIQUE SELLING POINT
Simply put, Beazy is a phenomenal rapper. But as he admits, being a good rapper doesn’t quite cut it these days. In a time when the world seems to be brimming with rap talent, a lot of things set him apart from the horde. It goes way beyond his witty punch lines , catchy hooks , or even his cool demeanor on a song. It also extends to his perfectionist approach to music and his work ethic. In just three years he has amassed an archive of close to 250 recorded songs and still recording regularly. He points out:’ My ultimate goal as a rapper is to be number one, even if I was a janitor I will still aim to be number one’
THE BEAZY MUSIC MONDAY PROJECT
His resolve to make a name for himself in the crowded music industry gave birth to The BEAZY MUSIC MONDAY, basically he is releasing a new song every week for 52 weeks. According to him,:’ I knew pretty early that I didn’t have the required funds to promote myself adequately so I decided to make a name for myself where it would cost me nothing. The problem though is that using the internet to promote music or an artiste is far from an original idea, so I needed a wow factor to make me stand out’.Releasing a new song for 52 weeks certainly got the industry’s attention. The music was released on all the major blogs every week and regularly got between 12,000 to 15,000 downloads every week.
CHALLENGES ENCOUNTERED DURING THE PROJECT
My greatest challenges was endurance and keeping my focus and drive for a year .Its such a long time that it becomes all too easy to forget why you are doing something in the first place. Thankfully I found a strength I didn’t even know I possessed and was able to push on till the end. There is something I always tell myself whenever I get weary. I saw it in a sports advert once, it is: ‘I don’t stop when I am tired, I stop when am done’. It seems very simple, but it helps incredibly.
WHAT SUCCESS MEANS TO YOU
He says passionately:'Success to me is to be able to pay my bills doing what i love. Its that simple'.
WHAT IT TAKES TO BE A SOUGHT AFTER RAPPER.
It takes great talent, even greater work, confidence, patience , and most importantly consistency.
ADVICE TO YOUNG NIGERIANS
Work hard, work smarter, be consistent and hope for the best, but prepare for the worst and pray like crazy. Be willing to pursue your passion.Do it.You may or may not regret it. But at least you did it your way.
With the successful completion of The Beazy Music Monday Project and armed with a music video shot by the award winning Clarence Peters in addition to his amazing work ethic,Beazy his sure meant for greatness….

These romantic holiday gift ideas for Christmas – for him or her – If you want to show love to your partner at Christmas, you’ll find a romantic idea here! All the gifts here will help fan the flames of passion and encourage you to spend quality time together…
Finding just the right romantic gift for the woman in your life requires a bit of thought. Most women hope for a personal touch that shows you have put some effort into finding a good Christmas gift. Planning a romantic getaway weekend for two, or a voucher for a day just for her at a local spa may melt her heart - but an original love poem written in your own hand is guaranteed. If you must be practical, go for the type of gift that keeps on giving year round and that keeps you close to her heart. Some suggestions for that type of gift include: a digital camera so you can document your life together; a digital music player stocked with her favorite love songs; or a new laptop so you can send love notes back and forth.
Before the tips, a quip:
“In the silence of night I have often wished for just a few words of love from one man,” said actress Judy Garland, “rather than the applause of thousands of people.”
A romantic way to say “I love you” at Christmas is by spending fun, interactive time together. And, here are 10 romantic Christmas present ideas…
Victoria‘s Secret or any exquisite lingerie or fun, intimate boxer shorts are romantic and special. Make it a green Christmas gift by buying organic lingerie — bamboo is soft and gorgeous.

Boy, those were romantic Christmas gifts.
A luxurious silk, satin or ankara outfit(their fave) with a sensual surprise, such as a book for couples in love, in the pocket. This holiday gift idea is both practical and luxurious — and it’s an easy Christmas gift to buy online!

A fancy, candle-light evening at a French restaurant with a view will unite the minds and bodies of most lovers, and cheer the saddest of souls.
A spontaneous visit and delivery of a hamper food basket or toiletry, flowers, or a bunch of balloons. Anything that surprises your sweetie and shows thought and attention is a great way to say “I love you” at Christmas. Bringing a gourmet gift basket on a weekend getaway is a great gift idea.
A last minute or future holiday trip/vacation even if its just a weekend within same naija or to the village together, such as an all inclusive vacation package, is definitely a romantic idea — even if the trip doesn’t happen for months in advance. Give brochures, books, or trinkets that represent the trip.

WINNING THE TIGER WOODS WAY
WINNING THE TIGER WOODS WAY“
I am not just out to be the best black player. I want to be the best golfer ever” -Tiger woods
I have always been fascinated and animated reading the biographies of great men .Often times , these individuals succeed against all odds and rise to pursue their passion .Their passion in turn make them emerge as epitomes of peak performance .In America where golf is as the restricted sports played mainly by the rich white folks,- a coloured youngster has risen to the game’s pinnacle through hard work, a sense of focus, and sheer determination. May be his name has something to do with it because it takes the fierce and the formidable energy of no less than a tiger to cruise his way to that spot.
LESSON 1
PARENTAL ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
Tiger Woods was born Eldrick Woods on Dec 30 1975,in cypress California. He is the only child of Earl and Kultida Woods. His parents identified their son’s talent at an usually early age. They said that he was playing with a putter before he could walk. Tiger’s father has never denied that he devoted his energies to developing his son’s talent and to further his career as a golfer. It is important for parents to acknowledge and pay attention to their child’s God given talent. As a parent, you need to be observant by focusing on what your child plays with, the activities he/she engages in. Aside from acknowledging your child’s area of strength, it is also imperative to help groom and grow that talent. Never ever discourage them from pursuing their innate abilities.
LESSON 2
PLAY SMALL AND GROW BIG
Woods first gained national attention on a talkshow when he beat the famed comedian Bob hope (1903-)in a putting contest. The young boy was only 3 at the time, he was quickly hailed as a prodigy or a child with remarkable talent. Not long after that, Woods was featured on the popular TV show called :That’s incredible. Turning pro at just 20.It took Tiger woods just eight months to register his impact winning within such a short period a masters and a PGA(Professional golfers association)events. Whatever is your area of calling in life, its important to start on a small scale. Starting small enables you to hone your talent till it becomes an unconscious competence. The only thing you start from the top is the grave.
LESSON 3
PRACTISE
There are no victories at bargain prices. Woods his known for spending many hours practicing his swing and playing in youth tournaments. During practice sessions, Tiger learned to maintain his composure and focus , while his father persistently mad e extreme loud noise in order to make him lose focus. Talent is never enough. It takes practice to transform your talent into a skill. Getting to be the best in your field won’t be easy because of the necessity of commitment. It takes commitment to play that guitar, write that book, or even sing that song when no one is paying attention to your talent. It is important to hold yourself responsible for a high standard than anybody else expects of you.
LESSON 4
PASSION
Whatever quality marks out Tiger woods as the greatest golfer on earth, I think the starting point is passion. A passion for the game and a passion to win. Little wonder, he is labeled:” A freak of dedication”…. To golf of course. Unlike the other men who play for pay , Tiger remains motivated by a different factor , the love of the game. His father Earl woods once said: “Tiger doesn’t love the game, he’s in full -stage addiction. He’s always been addicted to golf”. In the school of success, it is a love affair with your chosen craft that guarantees your ascendancy to life’s hall of fame.
LESSON 5
PECULIAR NAME
When Woods celebrated his 25th birthday, he marked the occasion with a legal name change, from Eldrick to Tiger. Wood had been called Tiger by his father even as a youngster. The nickname stuck as Woods had always been called Tiger by his friends and men of the press. The nugget here is that it is pertinent to differentiate yourself from the maddening crowd. You are what you call yourself. The same Mohammed Ali prophesied:” I am the greatest” years before he first won the world boxing title. If you are not known for something you cannot amount to anything. See yourself in the light of what you want to be called when living your dreams.
LESSON 6
PRESIDENTIAL RECOGNITION
If you are the best at what you do , you will dine with kings and not mere men. When Clinton was the president of U.S.A, he arranged to meet Tiger though it suffered restrictions albeit temporarily, owing to his impending exam then in the university. A BBC source was reported as saying the white house had to reschedule the appointment in favour of the youthful Woods. Now that’s my kind of guy. It shows that with impact on your side too, you too can get the rare chance to call the shots even when the presidency is involved.
LESSON 7
PAVE THE WAY
Wood is credited with popularizing the sport of golf not only among African Americans , but among children of all backgrounds. His personal sponsorships of programmes for childrenHas been reported for years , and at least one corporate sponsor found that in order to secure an endorsement (an official document of agreement)from Tiger Woods must include the added cost of a general donation to the Tiger Woods Foundation for inner city children. Success is about making a living , while significance is about making a life.
Be the shoulder someone can lean on. You might not be a golfer, but you can end up as the Tiger Woods in your own field. If a youngster can gain international prominence just by playing golf, then you can do it too. I look forward to reading your own success story .Go and rule your world!

ROLE OF MUSIC IN NATION BUILDING
TOPIC: THE ROLE OF MUSIC IN NATION BUILDING
‘I try to do music that is relevant, music that people listen to for years without getting tired of it’
-INNOCENT IDIBIA A.K.A.2FACE
AWARD WINNING R N B ARTISTE
When a baby is born its mother’s lullaby is one of the first sounds the baby can hear and recognize. From the cradle to the grave, music will always flow in between the rhythm of everyday life. Music-the pattern of sounds produced by people singing or playing instruments to generate groove, rhythm, poetry, and melody is more than the sounds being released from the strumming of Asa’s acoustic guitar, its more than the groovy beats being created by the magic fingers of Don jazzy , it’s a veritable tool for building a nation. There is no better way to measure how far society has evolved but through music. It has been used to express emotions when words do not seem to be enough.
IS MUSIC THE ‘KOKO’?
Since no phenomenon void of utility survives in a society, music when harnessed can mould the broken pieces of a nation into a seductive masterpiece for other nations to behold. Music and the nation are stuck like Siamese twins, a nation cannot go far without maximizing the power of music to revamp her national character. Advocacy and social change is one of the ways by which music can be used to in nation building. One good song with a message can bring a point more deeply to more people than a thousand rallies. Artistes are town criers who satirize social foibles in order to make human society and living worthwhile.Fela Kuti through his music became critical of the successive military governments that ruled Nigeria, he used music to comment on the political climate in Nigeria.
In addition, music can also aid in the aspect of ideological change and mass orientation. Ideological change and music are like two hearts with one beat. They beat as fast as the drums in the jungles of Africa. Songs like ‘Maga no need pay’,’For Instance’, ‘2010 Light Up Naija’, ‘Nigeria jaga jaga’, have helped to put some core national issues in the front burner of our minds and helped in creating a paradigm shift .
Music is the food of love, but it can also put food on the table. I once read the story of a talented young musician who said: ‘I want to release my album so that I can make money to take care of my younger ones .I have no father and mother’. Clearly, music is a wealth creation tool. This is evident in the enviable lifestyles music makers live, pursuing their passion.Gone are the days when they hop on taxis or “Okadas, now you see them in the hottest cars, phantoms, their fashion lines are the hottest items in boutiques, their albums move a million in a week, not forgetting their mouth watering endorsement deals. Music has helped in engaging these youngsters. Artistes like 2face, Dbanj, Timaya,Psquare, M.I, Banky w, Asa, have better stories to tell today as a result of the power of music.
The tourism potentials of a nation will be boosted when her music industry is vibrant and functional. Though the Nigerian national image is in tatters, but on the flipside, music has helped change our national image. The likes of Lagbaja, Asa, 2face, Femi kuti, have attracted international attention to Nigeria through music .This has helped in recreating a new portrait for the Nigerian youth as enterprising, diligent ,and smart.
The union between music and the nation will always be a fruitful one as they will give birth to wealth creation, advocacy and mass orientation, boosted tourism potentials e.t.c.in the absence of no objections, I now pronounce you, Music and the Nation as Husband and Wife. You may kiss the bride. We wish them a happy married life.No long thing!

WHY ENTREPRENEURS SHOULD HATE WEDDINGS
Why Entrepreneurs Should Hate Weddings
By Ofili
As a little boy, I loved attending weddings. It was the one special day in the year that everyone got to have extravagant fun. There were sumptuous amounts of food, free flowing drinks all wrapped up in the ostentatious beauty of a heavily decorated hall splattered with lots of radiant people beaming in their best clothes. It was literally heaven on earth…that was until I hit my late twenties and then heaven started coming a bit too close to my earth. This was the period in time where close friends of mine began getting married, from secondary school classmates to college friends everyone was getting married. Even my enemies were getting married. And like anyone going through that period knows, you are hit with a plethora of questions that can be summarized in one sweet and annoying phrase “so when are you getting married?”
This was really not an issue, I had trained myself in the act of neutralizing the questions dwindling effects on my mind. As I said before, I really truly enjoyed weddings. But the problem was that as more and more people close to me began getting married they began sharing wedding planning stories with me. And the more they shared their stories the more it ruined weddings for me. But that was nothing compared to the day a real close friend of mine shared his entire wedding expense with me…It was like the day you found out your parents actually had sex, it was not like you never suspected but confirming it actually messed up your mind. After hearing what he told me, I felt guilty for loving weddings and started resenting society’s illogical obsession with weddings. What exactly did he tell me?
It was his wedding cost. An astronomical $55,000 for a single wedding! And his wedding was one of the simpler weddings I had attended in my short life; So when he told me the figure, I was blown away. No wonder I enjoyed weddings so much it was created from extravagant riches. “How could someone possible spend that amount of money on one single wedding?” I pondered to myself. Now I am not anti-romantic or some weird money conscious individual. I am simply a realist and $55,000 spent on a wedding seemed quite extravagant to me. But even more bothersome was the fact that most people felt that $50,000 was relatively cheap for a wedding! Ironically the 50K figure did not include the wedding ring…which cost an additional $7000. Figures that are driven by phantom wedding laws…for instance the popular rule to thumb is that an engagement ring should cost at least 2 times the grooms monthly salary. Anything less than that is somehow not enough. Other rules state that you have to have an engagement party, followed by a white wedding and in case such as Nigeria a separate traditional wedding. As an ROI (Return on Investment) addict I tend to question these figures. If weddings were actually treated as a business then people will think twice before spending such large amounts of money.
According to the American National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) about one-third of new marriages among younger people will end in divorce within 10 years and 43 percent within 15 years. But yet people are more than willing to plunge their life savings into an institution that has statistically shown a low ROI. It is like putting money into a bank that you know has a 50% chance of shutting down. This is the reality that is hidden by a wedding industry that pushes the fairy tale marriage wedding that lasts forever. So they convince couples that they should indeed break the bank to fund their once in a life time wedding dream…and couples do exactly that as they are fueled by a frentic media that sprinkles the tales of fairy tale weddings on our TV screens. Weddings of celebrities that cost anywhere from a $1,000,000 to $10,000,000 are forced onto our TV screens and media blogs across the globe touting the notion that weddings should be extravagant. If there was anything that could summarize the craze, it will be none other than the “wedding of the century.”
As recent as 2011, Kim Kardashian was slated to get married to NBA player Kris Humphries. It was a normal celebrity marriage affair up until news got out that Kris had spent a cool $2,000,000 on a 20.5 carat engagement ring. Then the media frenzy and scrutiny picked up…everyone was talking about this wedding and analyzing every single details of their financial expenses. The main wedding ring was designed by Lorraine Schwartz and that too racked a cool $1,000,000. The wedding invitations were created and delivered by Lahr & Black for $10,000 just in case some of the guests were not aware of the wedding date! $400,000 was spent on Perrier Jouet Champagne with an additional $60,000 for three Vera Wang wedding dresses. The icing on the cake literarily was the $15,000 spent on a Hensen Bakery wedding cake…I crave to know what a $15,000 slice of cake taste like! All in all the wedding was estimated to have cost about $20,000,000 in total and truly lived up to its tag as the wedding of the century. An expensive wedding for a marriage that lasted only 78 days! That is like blowing all your lifesaving in less than 3 months.
What people fail to realize is that Kim is quite an exemplary entrepreneur. So even though her wedding on the surface cost $20,000,000, she was able to leverage her image to get some critical discounts and in most cases freebies. For instance the famous $2 million wedding ring was greatly discounted by Schwartz Jewellry, the $10,000 wedding invitations were sponsored for free by Lahr & Black wedding, the $50,000 bachelorette party was all paid for by Tao restaurant in exchange for free publicity and her 3 wedding dresses? Each of them was donated exclusively by Vera Wang herself. But that is still not the crazy part, E! entertainment reportedly paid her $15 million for a four-hour, two-part E! wedding special. A hefty price that does not even include the additional 2.5 million dollars gotten from People magazine for exclusive coverage of the wedding. So not only did Kim not spend much on her wedding but her wedding was a money generation machine. From the magazine to the media to the wedding industry…everybody profited. The only victims were gullible couples across the globe who believed the hype! Unfortunately, too many people are believing the hype as the numerous front pages of blogs and tabloids fail to highlight the intricate truth behind the wedding. Instead they offer coverage of a fairy tale wedding with smiling faces splashed across the pages of newspapers across the globe further feeding the cycle of mandatory expensive and lavish wedding. Thus causing people to ignore one critical fact that makes Kim way smarter than a lot of us “she ran her Wedding strictly as a business!” Ironically many entrepreneurs are doing the reverse and running their businesses as weddings.
According to Statistics from New Zealand, 53 percent of small to medium-sized enterprises (SME) fail within the first three years. Research also suggests that two-thirds of business collapse is due to financial difficulties associated with poor financial management. Sounds familiar? Then do this replace the word “business” in the stat above with “marriage,” and you would end up with a strikingly similar stat as I shared above except that bussineses tend to fail faster. Figures erringly similar to marriages and all because people are starting businesses like marriages…with a huge expensive wedding!
I have been blessed to work with a lot of new businesses and one of the quotes I love to share with entrepreneurs is one I learnt from my mentor James Malinchak “Don’t Do What’s Cute, Do What Sells.” Renting out a lavish apartment in the middle of downtown is cute…but if it does not cause sales to increase…then it is not smart! Designing a state of the art customized website is cute…but if it does not pay for itself in ways of online sales or publicity then it is not smart! Spending tons of money for radio adverts and TV arts is super cute…but again if it does not generate revenue to offset the advertising cost then it is not smart! These are wedding idea thinking that put new businesses into financial trouble early. At any given time businesses should be focused on the profit margin and not the cuteness margin. Because at the end of the day that is what really determines if your business would survive.
A recent start-up business in Lagos wanted to replicate the US group-on business idea in Nigeria. They were able to raise $50,000 in capital seed money to fund their idea…so they did what every wedding entrepreneur would do…they rented out an expensive office, hired several staff and paid for a state of the art website. The only problem was that they had not spent enough time marketing their business or adapting their business idea to the new market. To them having an office was what every new business should have and hiring a staff an absolute necessity. But with no funds or efforts allocated to researching the market and marketing their products, their business failed within a months. However, if they had started out the same way people like Mark Zuckerberg started out, in a dorm room without an office or huge staff, they would most likely have succeeded or if they failed their financial loss would have been minimal. But all too often, new entrepreneurs focus on the end product of successful businesses and fail to acknowledge the early struggles that preceded their success. Almost all successful tech firms started out from a garage or home. When I decided to build my website Ofilispeaks.com I got several quote ranging from $2000 to $3000 for a customized website, but I realized that financially such an investment would not make sense for me at that time. Instead I opted for a cheaper template design that cost me only $25 (plus sweat and labor) and that website is what I have up and running today. Although it is restricted in many areas, it still helps me get the key things I need to get done. In the future if $2000 customized website makes financial sense for me…I would create it in a heartbeat. But for now I will stick with my cheap but efficient template design.
A similar thing to a blogger I know, who currently makes a living by blogging from her bed all day. Initially when her business began to grow she fell into the trap that I have talked about so much in this article…then need to do what everyone does. So she rented out an office. But she soon found out that she did not really need an office and besides it detracted her from her comfort of blogging on her bed. So rather than stick with having an office just to say she has an office, she quickly abandoned her office and went back to blogging at home. Today she still makes as much money as she did in the office but she gets to keep a larger chunk since she does not have to pay any office rent. So the next time you are faced with a key business financial decision, strive to stay away from the resplendent/ostentatious decisions and instead focus on your hardcore bottom line “the finances.” Because at the end of the day that is what matters. It is not the size of your office or staff or website but rather the size of “customer base” and “profits” that matter. Remember again “Don’t do what’s cute, Do what sells!” Happy married life…

CELEBRITIZE YOU-TOP TIPS FOR BRANDING YOUR TALENT
CELEBRITIZE YOU!
(Top tips for branding your talent)
From a business point of view , branding in the market place is very similar to brandig on the ranch.A brand programme is designed to set your product apart from all the other cattle on the ranch.Successful branding is based on the concept of singularity i.e creating in the mind of your prospect that there is no other talent, skill, expertise , in the market quite llke your own.Today, most products and services are bought not sold. And branding greatly facilitates this process. That old expression:’Nothing happens until somebody sells something’ , is being replaced by ‘Nothing happens until somebody brands something.’I have had the priviledge of coaching a lot of talented individuals from Musiicans to , authors, to entrepreneurs, who often ask me:’Kenny how do I stand out from the others in my industry. Here is the roadmap:
1.Law of focus
A brand becomes stronger when you narrow its focus.Think of Basketmouth and comedy comes to your mind, think of chimamanda and literature comes to your mind. When people think of you in terms of your talents and abilities what should they think of?Nokia once made everything then the company narrowed its focus to one product, only mobile phones.Today Nokia has 35% of the world’s mobile phone market and is the dominant brand.
2.Law of visibility
The birth of a brand is achieved through visibility.
Anita Roddick built The Body Shop brand into a major product with no advertising at all.Instead she travelled the world on a relentless quest for publicity, pushing her ideas. It was the endless torrents of newspaper and magazine articles plus radio and television interviews that literally built The Body Shop brand. How do you gain visibility? The best way to generate visibility is by being first. In order words,by beng the first brand in a new category .
Genevieve magazine-First women’s lifestyle magazine in Nigeria
CNN-First cable news network
Complete Sports-First sports publication in Nigeria
The media wantsd to talk about what is new , what is first, and what is hot.
3.Law of consistency
A brand is not built overnight .Success is measured in decades not in years.
A lot of talented people are in a hurry .In a hurry to break even , and in the process they violate the law of consistency.Brand success is not a script that is acted and then played out in a day.Prof Wole Soyinka has been in the literary turf for decades, Larry King did broadcasting for more than three decades.Brand building is boring work. But what works best is absolutuely consistency. When you are consistent at what you do…your success will be immeasurable
4.Law of opportunity
Draining every opportunity of its every possibility helps you to build a strong brand.Timi Dakolo maximixed the Idols West Africa platform and that gave his music career a leverage, same thing applies to Seyilaw, he maximized A.Y's Openmic Comedy competition platform, and today he is better for it.Never underestimate the opportunities that comes your way. They may be the ticket to being honoured on life's hall of fame.To survive you must maximize
5.Law of Synergy
Greed often gets in the way of common sense.Collaborations often becomes the pathway to recogniton.9ice did it with Ruggedman and became better for it, Brymo synergized with Iceprince, and today he is fast becoming an household name. Authors synergize in order to leverage on one another's brand power, artistes synergize in order to maximize each others popularity.Team work still makes the dream work.
Hope this few tips has shed light on areas of your expertise that hasn't been working. You can rise to become the champ of your game.Celebritize you!

…A call to action
The crowd waited endlessly and eagerly praying quietly in their minds for the
real show to kick off.For the past ninety minutes,it's been a showdown of
microphone testing. The crowd is hungry for the much anticipated performance,
after the buzz the show had generated ,no thanks to endless jingles on the
airwaves advertising the event.Suddenly,a man sitting close to me, who was
obviously tired of being fed with the ‘Testing microphone’ ranting,
Stood up,walked towards the stage…..I was already dreaming up a catastrophic
incident that will feed my hungry soul. The man seized the microphone from the
star of the night , cleared his throat :’I am not here to listen to you guys
test the microphone, play me music , that’s what I am here for'
This story captures the lifestyle of individuals who are engaged in what I
call the waiting game. They are on life’s centre stage with all the high tech
equipments(Talents, gifitings, strengths),with the crowd waiting endlessly for
them to kick off their life’s grand performance, pursue their life long dream,
write that potential bestseller, build that potential business conglomerate,
embark on that cause….But all they are doing is simply testing
the microphone-analysing their idea, waiting for that perfect condition, before
they step out and give a crowd pulling performance that will be recorded in
the annals of time. Are you like the singing sensation in this story?Who was busy
testing the microphone, forgetting the fact that the microphone is functioning ,
its not just to be tested, its meant to be used and maximized optimally.
There comes a time in our lives , when like a bolt of lighting, we suddenly
get an idea or thought to do something or an opportunity that could be of great
blessing to many, but instead of taking prompt action, we simply embark on a
journey called ANALYSIS THAT LEADS TO PARALYSIS.We keep working on the idea and
forget the most important part of it-it needs to be worked out
A lady who is currently observing her N.Y.S.C programme sent me a message
recounting her passion for acting. According to her, she has always had this
passion, but have not been courageous enough to convert the passion into
action.. She’s been testing the microphone without using the microphone for her
actual life’s performance. I encouraged her to stop testing the microphone, and
simply find ways by which she can start using her talent for acting to bless
humanity.
What will our world be like if nobody chose to jump off the couch of comfort
,get to the center stage, turn on the microphone , and simply perform their
life’s assignment.Dear friend its never too late to start doing what you
are wired for.Find your dream again, bring out that manuscript
again, submit that manuscript again, pitch that idea again.Bring it out of the
closet , and shake off the dust.We spend most times of our lives
conjugatin three verbs:’To want, to have, and to do’.Remember, a crop of
determined spirits fired by an unquenchable blazing faith in their
mission can alter the course of history.Go and rule your world!

I read the story of how an oyster is able to form pearls. When sands enter into the shell of an oyster down at the bottom of the sea, the oyster becomes uncomfortable and irritated because of this foreign body. In trying to expel this irritants it secretes some fluid that later harden to form pearls. Eventually, when the oyster dies, the pearl becomes invaluable. The pain of the oyster is its opportunity to form precious pearls. Whatever you are going through in life is an opportunity that leads to your place of promotion. According to Les brown: ‘If you view all the things that happens to you, both good and bad as opportunities then you operate on a higher level of consciousness’.
Great people are great not because they are born great, but they often heed to the clarion call, stepping on life’s platform to tell their stories so that others can be given fresh hopes to run life’s race.
